Current-Potential Dual-Purpose Transformers

The current and voltage dual-purpose current transformer can be used as a current transformer or a voltage transformer to convert 0-10A current or voltage.
The current and voltage dual-purpose current transformer has two identical secondary windings with N turns, and a through hole that can input large current. When used as a current-type voltage transformer, one of the two secondary windings is used as the input winding, and the other is used as the output winding. The voltage can be converted by cooperating with the surrounding circuit; when used as a current transformer, the two secondary windings can be connected in parallel, and the primary is input from the through hole, which is a current transformer with a transformation ratio of N:1; the two secondary windings can also be connected in series, and the primary is input from the through hole, which is a current transformer with a transformation ratio of 2N:1. The schematic diagram is as follows.

Used as a current-type voltage transformer, the two equal windings are used as the primary and secondary sides respectively, and the transformation ratio N1:N2=1:1. The usage can refer to the usage of current-type voltage transformer.

Used as a current transformer with two windings connected in parallel, the ratio is I1:I2=N:1

Used as a current transformer with two windings connected in series, the ratio is I1:I2=2N:1

The series and parallel connection of multiple windings of the transformer requires clear identification of the S1/S2 and S1’/S2’ terminals of each winding. S1 and S1’ are connected and S2 and S2’ are connected for parallel connection; S1 and S2’ are connected and S2 and S1’ are connected for series connection.
